Any changes you make such as adding an new board or switching one is applied instantly to the box. So if your board is on dragon's end map for pure jade and you swap it to echovald, you get amber from opening the box instead of jade. I'm not sure if this is common knowledge so here goes. I have recently noticed that hero challenges (NOT commune hero points) are repeatable daily for everyone, even toons which already have the point. Not only is it repeatable, but once a day it will count as an event completion and give you rewards (XP+KARMA+map currency).

You can actually tell which of these you've before, but the visual cue is not very noticeable. multiple hero points are repeatable every day. after first completion, the icon gets a little infinity sign underneath those. at daily reset, they will again appear to be incomplete, but with the little infinity sign under it.
